Scene is a hot humid August afternoon.  In foreground, the Texas Eagle , Train 42, prepares to depart at  3:40 pm for St. Louis.   Meanwhile, the Santa Fe's California Special, Train # 66,  is waiting a later westbound departure at 6: 45 pm.

The Santa Fe Alco's are right about where today's  Home Plate for the Astro's is located, and the Jenk's Blue E units would be over the Astro's dugout.
