- Hand colored to emphasize town (township) boundaries and territories.
- "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1852 by Robert P. Smith in the ... Eastern District of Pennsylvania."
- Includes text, statistical tables, inset "Map of Brockport village", key to abbreviations, and illustrations of prominent buildings.
This is an earlier edition of the two Monroe County maps by Gillete from 1858.
