Zipper Magazine August 1972 Levi's Orange Tab Vintage Jeans ad

This listing is for one issue of “Zipper” magazine — in reality, a clever modern-day custom content-style advertisement for Levi’s Orange Tab reproduction vintage jeans. The magazine was part of a multimedia retro-themed promotional push which rolled out in 2013.

“Zipper” has the very groovy tagline “Flyin’ Low & Hangin’ Out. America’s Largest Rock Magazine” and a supposed August 1972 cover date. It’s packed with articles on (fake) bands, (fake) letters pages and personal ads, reviews of fake albums and finished off with real vintage ads for Schlitz beer, Fender guitars and, of course, Levi's products.

All in all, it’s a funny and entertaining read, especially for being what is essentially a big advertisement.

The magazine measures 8.5 by 11 inches and is 60 pages in both color and black and white. It displays little to no wear, with no folded or torn pages
