Up for sale is a
rare sign produced by M&M Ice, Waltham, Massachusetts, sometime in the 1930's or 1940's. Town residents would put this cardboard sign in their windows to alert the ice company of how much ice they needed---anywhere from 15 pounds to 60 pounds! McCarthy made only one pick up or drop off daily, and early!
On the flip side of this sign is more advertising, in this case, for "Air Conditioned Refrigerators". Great graphic of this early kitchen appliance!
Very good condition, all complete, totally readable, no tears, minor surface soiling. This sign measures about 6 3/4" square.
