Circa 1889 – 42 STAR FLAG

Original and authentic antique 42-star flag from 1889-90 during presidential term of Benjamin Harrison. Cotton printed flag. The 42 star became obsolete on July 4th 1890 when five states were added to the Union. Parade Flags like this were shipped to Hardware and General Stores which would attach to wooden sticks and sell to the general public for ceremonies.
