Vintage Merrythought Monkey 

This character Monkey is 
approx 21 inches ( 53 cms )
in length.
He sits approx 15 inches ( 36 cms ) tall.
Monkey is not jointed.
He has his Merrythought cloth label
on one leg paw.
He has a few white  'spicks'
on him especially one paw.
Monkey has plastic eyes
being a Wool blend fellow.
Only a little of his red smile/ mouth remains.
This character Monkey is being sold as seen
as a once loved children's toy.
Monkey has spent his senior years
 on a shelf with his many friends.
Photos taken with flash which
also picks up white spicks
being a wool blend fabric.
A later version of him was called
Bedtime Merry Chimp.
