Condition: This USED set of stamps is in very good condition with no smears or stains. The stamps have not been previously hinged.
Background To Issue: This joint issue celebrated dragon boat racing in both Australia and Hong Kong, and China - each country released a pair of stamps and a miniature sheet on the same day and bearing the same designs. Festival activities recalled a legendary event from the third century BC China and involved people eating dumplings and teams racing elaborately decorated dragon boats to the beat of heavy drums. The boats had ornately carved and painted dragon heads and tails.
