1960s Yoshiya KO Japan Tin Battery Operated Radical Robot Space Toy - RARE.

Tin battery-operated robot which was made in Japan by Yoshiya KO in 1962.

Whilst the grey Chief Robotman is the most common version to stumble across, this blue Radical Robot is rarer and much more difficult to find in any condition.

His actions feature mystery action bump and go with a special (KO) sequence that also features stop and go, the head turns from left to right while the top light is flashing and the antennas on both ears spin rapidly.

After testing the robot with batteries, it only does some of the functions described above so is being sold as PARTIALLY WORKING.

The robot moves around well with spinning ear antennas but his head gets stuck in a sidewards position when trying to move from side to side and needs to be moved back manually to front on, once the motor is off. The light in the top of the head isn’t working.

THIS ROBOT IS PARTIALLY WORKING SO IS BEING SOLD FOR SPARES/REPAIRS/DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. PLEASE ONLY BID ON THIS BASIS.

There is some signs of rust on the inside and outside of the battery compartment door, but the rest of the robot, overall, is pretty good and he displays nicely. Stamped KO JAPAN on base of toy.
