Selling a very rare antique Spanish-Neapolitan baroque chest from the second half of the 17th century.
The chest consists of rosewood, ebony, tortoise shell and bronze.
The stand is from later times and is made of ebonized wood. The chest has been restored in the Gothic Quarter / Barri Gòtic in Barcelona by the previous owner and is therefore considered to be in good condition considering the ravages of time.
I had to apply for export status from the Spanish authorities to introduce the furniture to Norway as it is considered part of the Spanish national heritage. https://www.cultura.gob.es/cultura/patrimonio/exportacionimportacion/exportacion/introduction.html
