Made in England in the 1930s by Newhall Pottery Co Staffordshire, this striking colourful chamber pot stands 13cm tall, measures 23cm across and weighs 1.5kg

This Art Deco pot is decorated with floral transfer on a cream glaze base with blue graduating colour.
Each side features two pairs of different multicoloured birds surrounded by green foliage and flowers in pink, mauve and blue. The side opposite the handle has a small single red and green bird.

It has a glossy cream interior and stamped makers mark on the base

At over 80-90 years old, this chamber pot is still in very good structural condition. The graduating blue colour has some surface wear scratches mainly on the underside edges. There is also some wear to the top rim in places and a 1 X 0.5cm chip on the side of one edge (See photo 4). There is some crazing but no cracks. The handle is in excellent solid condition.
