How to Prepare Swedish Bitters
Empty the entire contents of the packet into a clean glass jar and pour over 2.5 – 3 liters (85-100 oz) of vodka or brandy. We use blender to make a powdered combination, poor vodka and shake solution for two week. Let the mix stand for 14 days in a warm, dark area. When ready, filter through a kitchen strainer lined with clean cloth. Adults and children over 15 years take 1-2 spoons daily.
For better taste, you can add your Swedish Bitters to sweetened tea or juice.
Alcohol-free Swedish Bitters Tea
To make alcohol free Swedish Bitters, mix the entire contents of the packet thoroughly. To make tea, put 1 teaspoon of mixture in a teapot and pour in 2 cups of boiling water. When cool, store in a refrigerator. 2-3 tablespoons of tea may be added to a cup of juice or water and used 2 times daily.
