I bought this on eBay about 25 years ago. I think it must have been around the time that FRIENDS and SEX AND THE CITY were big. I went on a bit of a vintage handbag binge. I bought them to use. Some became every day bags, some got one or two times out and some never made it outside my NYC apartment.

I don't remember any of the details about this purse. I bought it because I liked it. No label. No markings of any kind. I believe the leather once belonged to an animal in the deer family. It's so soft and has that gorgeous buckskin color. Hand tooled, hand stamped gold accents, hand embroidered blue and white circles. The handles are made from leather covered jute rope. Hand made closure. Four brass feet to protect the bottom. Black cloth lining. I feel like it came from a northern region of the world. It has a Nordic look to me. Or Alaskan. Shaped like a doctor's bag and decorated with snowflakes, perhaps.

This bag has been stashed in my closet for too long. It is time to release it back into the wild.

The bottom measures 12 x 4.5.  About 7.5 inches tall with 8.5 inch handles.

All vintage items are sold "as is".

Please examine the photos and ask me any questions you may have before you bid or buy.
