This listing is for a nice flint tool dating to the late Mesolithic/early Meoslithic of the UK. Shows distinct retouching of the edges that would have produced a sharp cutting edge or point for use in hunting and butchery. Comes with an ID card as shown. Retouching is when the natural edge of a flint flake is modified with a specific future use in mind and often was done when the flake was initially removed from the core, and continued through the life of the blade to keep it sharp. The reworking could take the form of both large and small chips being removed from the working edge.
