Victor QL-A70 Auto-Lift Direct Drive Turntable Music Player From Japan Used

Description

The turntable is a large aluminum die-cast turntable with a diameter of 35 cm, a weight of 2.9 kg (including the mat), and a mass of inertia of 560 kg-cm2. The large table is driven by a quartz-lock DD motor with a newly developed magnetic support system.
The magnetic support system reduces the load on the motor's rotating shaft to about 500g by magnetic attraction. This eliminates the causes of S/N deterioration and wow flutter caused by friction in the bearing, resulting in quiet rotation.
The servo circuit uses a double servo quartz circuit that increases the stability of the quartz lock by 30 times.
The tone arm is an S-shaped universal type.
The combination of Victor's original high-sensitivity and high-stability new gimbal support system bearings and a long arm with an effective length of 254 mm provides smooth tracing performance with minimal distortion and needle skipping.
The S-pipe is filled with anti-vibration material, and a large die-cast aluminum base is used for the arm base to achieve non-resonance and vibration-free performance.
A purely electronic silent servo cueing function is provided.
This function applies electronic servo to the up-down movement of the tone arm, and the rotational control of the linear motor provides smooth upper limit movement and high reliability over a long period of time.
The cabinet has a high-density specification that takes advantage of Victor's woodworking techniques.
The surface has a rose mirror finish.
An auto-lift-up mechanism with no-contact speed detection is employed to prevent needle tip and record from being damaged.
The dust cover can be freely detached. It also has a specially constructed free hinge that can be stopped even in the near-closed position.
