Victor Direct Drive Auto Turntable QL-Y55F Tested Working USED From Japan

Description

The tone arm is an electronically controlled ED servo tone arm exactly equivalent to the QL-Y77F.
This arm uses a microcomputer and two sets of coreless linear motors for feedback control of both horizontal and vertical movement.
In addition, needle pressure application, Q-damping for low-frequency resonance, and anti-skating can be freely controlled by independent volume knobs. In particular, the electronic Q damping converts arm vibration into an electrical signal, transmits it to a microcomputer, and applies reverse torque to a linear motor to suppress vibration, thereby suppressing not only low-frequency resonance but also arm vibration caused by various external disturbances. Moreover, since there is no mechanical friction, the sensitivity of the bearing is not compromised.
The ED servo tone arm used in the QL-Y55F has been improved, with the servo gain increased to about five times that of the previous model to enhance stable operation.
Full-automatic operation and arbitrary music selection can be performed by soft-touch switches. Manual operation can also be freely performed without switching.
The arm section uses an arm pipe replacement system, allowing the user to replace the cartridge with a whole pipe using the connector on the bearing block and enjoy upgrading the cartridge.
The QL-Y55F is equipped with a high-rigidity low-profile tapered straight pipe as standard. There are also three types of optional pipes: a standard straight pipe (PH-100), a special high-rigidity material tapered straight pipe (PH-200), and an S-shaped universal pipe (with vibration-free pursuit chucking lock head connector, PH-300Y).
In addition, the use of a large counterweight (sold separately) provides optimum matching for almost all cartridges.
Centralized control of the tone arm functions is employed to improve operability by concentrating all functions in a single location on the right front of the cabinet. This control section can be used to control needle pressure, Q-damping, anti-skating, tone arm movement, and fully automatic functions.
The rotation system uses a double servo quartz circuit that increases the stability of the quartz lock by 30 times. The motor uses a DD motor with a coreless structure without cocking, which provides a large torque of 1.5 kg-cm.
In addition, the arm base and turntable base are rigidly joined by a docking plate to align the phases of their vibrations and suppress intermodulation distortion.
The cabinet is designed for non-resonance and vibration-free pursuit using high-density solid wood. The exterior of the cabinet has a rosewood mirror finish.
A low center-of-gravity type insulator is used to improve the stability of the cabinet by raising the fulcrum position as much as possible. The height of this insulator can be adjusted
