Mixing Black is, as the title suggests, best for mixing colours as they retain their brightness and maintain the saturation of the colour, creating a subtle change. Our mixing black is made with black iron oxide. It has been specially formulated to offer a subtle darkening of paints,  particularly in combination with other transparent colors. Use it to create darker – but less overpowering – effects.
