Background To Issue: The Australian Open began in 1905 as the Australasian Tennis Championships at the Warehousemen's Ground at Albert Park in Melbourne. Over the years, the competition expanded and changed venues several times, moving to Flinders Park *(now called Melbourne Park) in 1988.
