I have been in the garage again and brought a few of my Dads old tools out.

II have ignored this one previously as it had no handle. But when I squinted at it I saw it said W Marples so I brought it out.

Punched in the blade it says W Marples & Sons, Sheffield England on two rows with what looks indistinctly like a bunch of grapes. Sorry I couldnt get it to focus as it was so small. 

Obviously very old, maybe even antique. It has no collar round like more modern ones on here. see pictures too
