The "little one" with the long arm

The device is equipped with a 10 inch tone arm, which is rather unusual in this price range. The longer arm further reduces the toe angle error compared to a 9-inch tonearm. Scanning distortions are thus further minimized.

The RPM 3 Carbon offers the evolutionary further developments of the RPM concept: A low-resonance chassis offers space for an inverted turntable bearing, which is mounted on a solid metal block for mechanical damping and mass centering, and whose ceramic ball ensures reduced rumble. The free-standing drive motor in the chassis prevents motor vibrations from being transmitted to the chassis. Its 15 volt synchronous motor is driven by a precision DC powered alternator. This ultra-pure power supply for the motor ensures outstanding smoothness, and the motor control with a frequency accuracy of ±0.001% ensures very good synchronization.

The new construction of the S-shaped 10 tonearm uses a material mix of carbon fibers, aluminum and synthetic resin for the tonearm tube. Through a very complex 3-stage process, using heat treatments under 100 bar high pressure, outstanding rigidity, maximum internal damping and low resonance are achieved. Magnetic anti-skating and a TPE-damped counterweight are among the other highlights that make the RPM 3 Carbon a stylish sound wonder!

The medium-heavy tonearm made of a carbon fiber/aluminium composite material is ideal for MM and MC cartridges and for MC cartridges of the Ortofon SPU N type with a 1/2-inch headshell mount.

The inverted plate bearing with a ceramic ball ensures excellent rumble values.
