At over 5.2 metres in length the S-Class is an impressive beast. These are an instantly recognisable car thanks to their large chrome grill and muscular haunches on the wheel arches. But it is inside which really impresses you - This car may date back from 2010 but it still oozes luxury and quality. It's a big car with a luxurious, leather-clad interior and gleaming chrome work. Finished in metallic silver, with sporty 2 tone alloy wheels our car has excellent road presence. This LWB model benefits from a full electrics pack including electrically adjustable rear seats and the electric rear sunblind. Both the front and rear seats are heated and you can even control the front passenger seat from the rear, should you want a bit more room to stretch out
This is a big and very comfortable car - It turns heads and attracts more admiring glances than pretty much anything else you can buy for the same money. Because it is well built, it feels as though it will last an eternity - in fact it probably will! It is extremely quiet and refined. The S-Class rides on pneumatic air suspension which makes it one of the most comfortable cars you will ever experience. When you shut the soft-close door it is like stepping into another world. The S-Class has a glass tilt and slide sunroof and it is fitted with both front and rear parking sensors - Very useful in a car of this size! There is a top-of-the-line navigation system and bluetotth phone connectivity. S-Classes are always famed for their ground-breaking technology, so this 2010 model was way ahead of its time and features many things that are only now becoming commonplace in regular luxury cars. All the technology packed into this car, really does make this car feel as though it were built for James Bond.
This car was designed with comfort as its main priority. Ours is eerily silent with a ride that is sublime. It's no GTI through the corners but it is still incredibly sharp for such a large car - It does not feel as cumbersome as earlier S-Class models and it still feels very modern - After all most car makers are only just catching up with the technology this car had back in 2010! The Mercedes was built to cruise and on the motorway it is as accomplished as they come. The cruise control even has a speed limiter function to keep you out of trouble.. You may need this as the S-Class isolates you from the outside world so well you do not realise how fast you are going at times!
One of the most striking aspects of this car is the gorgeously appointed full leather interior, with plenty of wood and chrome trim. These LWB models were built for the incredibly well-heeled, so with that in mind the rear seat passengers are as well catered-for as those up front. The rear seats are electric and there are separate heating and ventilation controls to the rear. The rear seats even have their own vanity mirrors! To me the gorgeous condition of the sumptuous grey leather and quality feel of the interior are the most important aspects of this car - You will feel pampered in an S-Class - and that is what Mercedes ownership is all about!
