Features and further details

This 4mm / OO gauge laser cut double track typical modern prefab metal service depot with flexible side office is constructed from a combination of strong 3mm and 2mm MDF. Modelled from your typical 1970?s to present corrugated steel servicing depot, this shed is ideal for servicing small to medium sized locomotives. With its simple design and clean lines, this kit can be adapted to any layout and industrial scenic needs. The office is design at either side or the rear of the main depot building giving this model plenty of flexibility. Being part of our premium range, this design has additional details for added realism.


This versatile kit includes the following features:

  • Dual layer outer wall construction for added depth and detail + strength
  • Separately applied air-conditioning unit, power boxes and exhaust stacks

Model comes as an unpainted laser cut kit. Parts will have to be removed / prepared and painted prior to construction. Basic tools / materials required to complete kit as pictured:

Multiple kits can be combined to achieve longer or wider setups with minimal modification if desired. Single kit dimensions are as follows:

Width without side office = 170mm

Width with side office units = 245mm


Environmental Impact -

LaserKitz also endeavour to produce our products with the environment in mind. The laser cutters are power by a 6KW solar array system and solar energy is used during the manufacturing process were possible. No plastics or non-recyclable materials are used during the manufacture, packaging and processing of all our products.

Creation Process -

All LaserKitz models are designed by and copyrighted by LaserKitz Ltd. All kits are produced using high power laser cutting equipment capable of cutting through 12mm MDF / Ply, enabling LaserKitz to provide thick sturdy construction and precision cut detail. All kits come securely boxed with easy-to-follow colour instructions.
