Historical context: Sternberk is a Moravian town in the Olomouc district in the Olomouc region, located 16 km north of Olomouc on the Sitka river.
The most important monuments are Sternberk Castle, a national cultural monument, and the Church of the Annunciation of St. Mary with the adjacent Augustinian monastery, which houses the Handke Gallery.
There are also the remains of the city fortifications, the Marian Plague Column and a number of valuable burgher houses.
The Exposition of Time museum continues the earlier production of wall clocks, alarm clocks and watches (Wiki).
