The design retains the general features and philosophy of the classic
DualShock controller for PlayStation. Despite the presence of a vibration function,
the controller also retains the system for recognizing hand movements in three dimensions - Sixaxis.

The combination of feedback and motion recognition system will immerse
the player deeper into the virtual world and make the events occurring in the game more realistic.
The player will be able to experience explosions, impacts, movements and other events unfolding on the screen.

Game developers promise to include support for the feedback function in their new games.
Older games will receive support for DualShock 3 through a software update
that can be easily downloaded via the PlayStation Network.
