This advertising page was by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railroad (better known as the Milwaukee Road) and its Hiawatha passenger train.  

The ad has a photo of a young couple on a picnic. They are waving at a passing train; one of Milwaukee Road’s Hiawatha trains. Prominent is the new Skytop Observation car. There is a small painting of an Indian (Native American) boy and a map of the NW USA showing Milwaukee Road’s routes.  

Ad text starts “It’s a Hiawatha year” and goes on about the new Skytop Observation Lounge cars being added to the train consist.  

This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1948 magazine.
