This much sought after Cold Steel Republic is made in the USA, featuring a CPM-S35VN steel blade with an ergonomic linen micarta handle - Mint, New In Box condition. The Republic is a bushcraft, survival, utility knife at its best ! The blade, featuring "an exceptional American super steel, CPM-S35VN is very tough and durable and will take a fine razor sharp edge that will last a long time. Durable, reliable, highly corrosion resistant and tough even when honed to a very fine edge, it is a good well rounded steel choice for high-end superior quality custom knives and tools" ~ what Cold Steel says about CPM-S35VN steel. The result is a beautiful razor sharp plain edged, black Ionbond finished, drop point blade. The front of the blade is marked "REPUBLIC". The back of the blade is marked "COLD STEEL" with an American flag symbol and "S35VN". The jimping on the spine of the blade is actually functional.

The handle is a continuation of the blade with a full exposed tang, also black Ionbond finished. The light tan & brown linen micarta is machine grooved at the lower edge of the handle with subtle scallops for comfort and a secure grip. The end of the handle is exposed creating a combination lanyard hole with functional jimping and a small flat area for light hammering.
The sheath is premium sturdy brown leather with heavy stitch and two rivets. "CS COLD STEEL" on the front of the sheath and on the back "MADE IN USA". The knife has never been put into the sheath.

New ~ This knife is unused, never carried, stored away as a collectible, factory edge never re-sharpened, never used to cut anything ! Lets call it investment grade MINT !

Blade Edge & Knife Point are razor sharp ! No chips / dings to the blade edge, Markings are clear.
The Sheath is in Mint condition. The knife has never been put into the sheath.
The box is in Mint condition.
Overall, a b-e-a-utiful looking, purpose built, Cold Steel Republic in ready to use, razor sharp condition. A nice addition to any blade collection and it looks so Veeerry cool !
Of note, the knife will Not be shipped inside of the sheath; the knife and sheath will be packaged very carefully for shipment. The sheath is designed to provide strong resistance on the handle to hold the knife very securely within the sheath. For the Collector / Investor: overtime, pushing the knife into and removing from the sheath may cause wear to the blade and handle. Additionally, a lot of Cold Steel sheaths (and, in general, sheaths from all major manufacturers), will scratch the blade when the knife is put into and taken out of the sheath. I highly recommend to Never put this knife in the sheath; this sheath will, most likely, scratch the finish on the blade. Again, this is for the Collector / Investor - and I feel it should be said once again. I believe if you put this knife into a sheath, from Cold Steel or other manufacturer - it will be scratched.
