Did you know that the whirling fan blades can create turbulence at grilles, leading to a noticeable humming sound? Noctua, the fan manufacturing company, discovered a few years back that by introducing a 5mm gap between the fan and the grille, this turbulence settles, and the humming noise significantly reduces.

Since the spacers sold by Noctua are logically only compatible with Noctua fans, I offer universal spacers here. These fit 120mm fans, and most screws should be long enough to still secure the fan.

The spacers are most effective when mounted on inlet fans (that draw air in), though I've noticed a difference with outlet fans too, albeit not as pronounced.

I can't guarantee results, but my experience and Noctua's articles speak volumes:

Each set comes with three spacers, with the option for more if needed. I can also print 140mm spacers for an additional charge, though I haven't tested these yet.

Shipping only. The item is 3D printed.
