SPAIN - 25 - Veinticinco Pesetas Banknote - featuring a portrait of Isaac Albéniz - Note is still crisp and clean, it has a light central bend - grades almost UNC.
25 PESETAS BANKNOTE dated 1954 - A sought after banknote.

The note depicts, at the right, an image of Isaac Manuel Francisco Albéniz y Pascual (1860 - 1909), he was a famous Spanish virtuoso pianist, composer, and conductor. His image also appears in the watermark area at the lower right on the face. At the centre in the background is an image of the Spanish Coat of Arms in light Orange and Mauve.
The reverse of the note has an illustration of El Patio de Los Leones de la Alhambra, Granada (the Lions' Court at the Alhambra in Grenada), HISTORICAL NOTES - Isaac Albéniz, composed a piano suite called 'Recuerdos De Viaje', which included a piece called 'En La Alhambra', while his suite 'Iberia' contained a piece called 'El Albacin', which is the name of the Moorish quarter of Grenada, opposite the Alhambra. Albéniz also composed an unfinished Suite called just ‘Alhambra’. So, it is fitting that his passion for the Alhambra was depicted on this banknote.
The Serial number is on the face at the top centre in Red K 3485283 - it also appears in Red at each corner on the reverse.
The note is signed by Don Joaquín Benjumea Burín, Count of Benjumea as El Gobernador (Governor), Antonio Victoriano Martin Martín as El Interventor (Auditor) and Joaquín Serrano García as El Cajero (Cashier).

The face and the reverse of the note was engraved by Jose Luis Sánchez Toda. The printer’s ident. is at the centre of the bottom margin - FNMT - Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre of Madrid, Spain.
This old banknote has very light central bend and very light handling, otherwise it is crisp and clean and bright, possibly as issued - grades to almost Uncirculated.
