This is an original  Soviet Russian Army bandana. At first this item was like a medical kerchief and was in a personal medic set of the each soldier.

During the war in Afghanistan soviet russian soldiers start to use it like a bandana but you can't find a photos with bandana from the Afghan war because it was a forbidden by the Soviet Russian Army rules. But this item was a so useful and comfortable in hot climate so after a time soldiers stay use it openly. Now it's like a visit card of the moder russian special troops and soldiers use it like bandana and like a mask. This bandana was use in first and second Chechen military conflict and use in any special troops till our days.

Item is 100% original, unused from Army stock.
