1964 Press Photo Drawing of Kennedy memorial plans in Dallas, Texas - piw12159

This is an original press photo. Monuments & Memorials (For Kennedy). Dallas, Texas. This photo depicts a rendering of a preliminary design for a free-form marble monument which will be suggested next week to the committee considering a memorial to President Kennedy. The design is a result of collaboration between Architect Jacob E. Anderson of Dallas and David Denton, an architecture student at the University of Oklahoma. They propose that the monument be erected near the Tripple Underpass, scene of the assassination in Dallas. Their suggestion is one of scores being considered by the committee headed by Civic Leader Dawson Sterling. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 2-9-1964.
