This badge is a badge for the Army Ordnance Corps in the British military and dates to around WWI. In terms of condition, the item is in fine condition, albeit with some signs of aging and significant rusting on the reverse. The front is mostly in fine condition with some minor marks.

Nevertheless, the badge is a fascinating piece of British military history from WWI.

The Royal Army Ordnance Corps was responsible for supplying British military units with weapons, ammunition and equipment. It has some roots dating back to 1414 as the Office of Ordnance and would later become the Army Ordnance Corps.

In the year 1922, they gained the "Royal" prefix to their name and would carry on their duty until merging with other units in 1993 to form the Royal Logistic Corps. Their motto was "Sua Tonanti Tela" which can be translated as "To The Warrior His Arms".
