The Union of Czechoslovak-Soviet Friendship (abbreviated as SCSP) was the second largest organization in the Czechoslovakia (the ROH was the largest), part of the National Front of Czechoslovakia and Czechoslovakia.
It was founded on February 22, 1948 at the 1st demonstration congress of the SCSP and disappeared with the collapse of the USSR.
The task of the association was to popularize the science, literature and culture of the Soviet Union in what was then Czechoslovakia.
The organization organized discussions about books by Soviet writers, trips to the Soviet Union, Russian language courses.
Membership in the SCSP was collective – entire workplaces, workshops, etc. joined it.
The years of greatest activity in the SCSP were in the 1950s.
After the crisis of 1968/69, the organization became more and more formal. Under the then regime, membership in the organization was evaluated positively (Wiki).
