Large opaque white coloured glass lamp with hand painted & gilded decoration, possibly Perseus, with the head of Medusa?

The glass is mounted on a hollow 2-trier brass base with pierced fretwork and cast brass dolphins.

Although the brass work is complete and intact, some of the edging is a little loose in places.

Made on the island of Murano, Italy.

Circa 1950s/1960s.

Measures 54.5cm tall and diameter of the main body of the glass is 18cm.

Glass is in very good condition.

Although the lamp is wired and working, I would recommend that it is checked over by a qualified electrician.

when you are buying vintage glassware, you should expect some age related signs of wear such as very small fine surface scratches/marks. Also many of the items are hand made, they may have small imperfections such as bubbles, inclusions & lumps within the glass and often tool marks from where they have been shaped and worked in the manufacturing process.
