Author Jennifer Ranger was born and raised in the culturally diverse Los Angeles, California area and grew up hearing a wide variety of languages on a daily basis. Jennifer is known as the leader of popular Kattywompus String Band, who's heart and soul is firmly rooted in international folk music. The band's live weekly concerts are a staple in Monrovia, California and feature traditional music, rhythms and songs from Latin America and many other countries. As co-owner of The Dollmakers' Kattywompus for the last twenty years, Jennifer has become known as "The Story Lady" from her weekly Storytime Online webcasts.
