2.5mm Twin and Earth T&E Cable 100m Domestic Electrical Lighting Wire 6242Y

Twin and Earth Electrical Cable is the most common cable used for domestic wiring.  This cable has meets safety guidelines and standards for cables, including the BS 6004:2012 standard and is CE Marked. 

The live and neutral are individually insulated and the earth is bare.  The Live and Neutral are insulated in blue/brown coloured PVC insulation.  The outer sheath is insulated in a grey PVC. Solid copper conductive wire construction.

2.5 mm is most commonly used for ring and radial socket power circuits.

This cable is suitable for indoor use only. UV light can degrade the insulation coating - not suitable for outdoor use.

A qualified electrician is advised for installation to ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
