1963 Press Photo Mail left by England's train robbers of Glasgow-London train
This is an original press photo. Mail left behind by bandits is unloaded from the Glasgow-London mail train at London's Euston Station this morning. The train was stopped at a rural crossing 40 miles northwest of London and a gang of 20 to 30 masked men made off with more than 100 bags of registered mail which one official said might be worth as much as 200,000 pounds ($560,000).Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 08-08-1963.
