Very early late 1890’s or early 1900’s heavy black candlestick telephone. This phone was before they started to put dials on the phone. I unscrewed the ear piece to show the number and markings on the inside of the cover in one of the photos. There is no visible manufacturer shown on the phone but possibly Western Electric. I did not take the screws off the microphone portion which may show the manufacturer. The cord to the earpiece is connected and the cord from the phone is obviously cut but still pretty long. The spring action on the earpiece holder works well. A real gem of early telephones and Americana.
