HOW TO AVOID RUST？

  • (1) Make sure that you scrape the residue off your grates after each use
  • (2) Season them by brushing with oil after each use
  • (3) Leave the dampers open a bit so that condensation does not build up in the grill
  • (4) Put the lid back on your grill when it is not in use
  • (5) Cover the grill when it is not in use

EASY TO MAINTAIN

 

  • Leave a coating of cooking oil on the cast iron grill grate after each use. We recommend saturated fats because they are more stable at room temperature and less susceptible to oxidation. If you use the cast iron grill regularly the type of oil you use doesn’t matter. If it hasn’t been used in a long time, the grate should be treated with a saturated fat oil such as coconut oil, lard, or butter.
