Description
This amazing fireplace mantel was salvaged from a Harlem NY brownstone.
It is made of oak and is unpainted.
The top has a large beveled mirror in an ornate frame.
Frame has ornate crown molding along the top, fluted pilasters along the sides with carved embellishments and Eastlake spoon carvings at the upper corners and top center.
The shelf is supported by a large carved crown molding and 2 corbels with carved lion heads.
Below the lions are are tapered carved columns.
The breast has 3 applied raised panels, central panel is carved.
The firebox is framed in ornate reel and bead molding.
It measures 73 inches wide, 112.5 tall, and is 22.5 inches deep including the panels that wrap around the chimney.
Shelf height is 52.5 inches.
The firebox opening is 42 inches wide by 36.25 tall.
Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are panels that wrap around the chimney breast on both sides. The tiles and insert are not included. Please look at the pictures carefully.

We
have a 16 foot box truck for salvage jobs and delivery trips. We
generally make delivery trips along the I-85 and I-95 corridors to
central Florida and the Florida panhandle in January.
In
spring and fall we go from Pennsylvania to Atlanta, over to Houston, up
to Kansas City and St. Louis then up into Iowa, Chicago and home
through Michigan and Ohio. Trips to NYC and New England are as needed.
We can personally deliver if you are somewhat close to these routes much cheaper than freight or uship. Outside these areas it would be best to check uship.com for delivery quotes.

Terms of Sale
I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.

My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
