For sale is this delightful 1991 BMW E30 316i, finished in Brilliant red with a grey interior and white seats. It has covered 198,000 miles.

The exterior condition of this 3 series is, on the whole, good considering the age and mileage of the car. There are age related marks and rust in some of the common areas the worst of which is on the rear wheel arch as you can see in the photos. The underside has had welding carried out and now is solid. The bodywork has been recently machine polished and presents as such, with a great shine to the panels. Plus it’s on lowering springs which I think adds to the look.

Interior wise, things are okay, with the only bad bits being some rips to the seats and some cracks in the dash. The head unit has been upgraded to a Sony one with Bluetooth, and the rest of the interior is in good condition especially for its age. Everything works as it should, and it even has a fully working electric sunroof!

Mechanically, this car is spot on. I drove it on a daily basis and took it all around the country without it ever missing a beat. However, I haven’t really driven it since the ULEZ expanded to my area and the MOT ran out. So to prepare it for this sale I have done an oil service and done the fuel filter change, plus change the hoses around the fuel filter for new ones. It has four matching toyo tyres with lots of life left on them. It drives very well and sounds good with an upgraded exhaust, the engine and manual gearbox work nicely together to deliver an engaging driving experience.
