This example of a Lamp Manufacturing & Railway Supplies Ltd "Adlake Non Sweating Lamp" is one for anyone with an interest in railways, signalling or unusual lamps. Manufactured for British Railways (Midland Region) in the 1940s-50s, these lamps would have been used on signals across the region. It comes complete with handle, aspects and burner inside the lamp casing. The sliding cover works well on the side, allowing access to the wick without having to remove the whole burner to light. If desired, the lamp can be left as is, although a clean up and new coat of paint would remove many of the blemishes on the outside.

Burner features plaque labelled "Petroleum only, BR (M)", and is complete with burner glass and wick. Enscribed around the burner is "LAMP MFG & RLY, NUMBER 90, "ADLAKE", TRADE MARK".

All proceeds go towards the running and upkeep of the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, a living museum and tourist attraction in Cornwall, England. Thank you for your interest and support!
