CAC imported feather art assemblages from oriental markets - compositions are made of feathers, twigs, and possibly bark or very thin shaved wood. This picture/shadow box of two geese is about 10 1/4" square. The matte is a thick gravel-y off-white, in a 1-inch deep tongue in groove (no nails) oak frame. It is lightly stained, with no polyurethane sealer.  This probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.

The birds' bodies are made of probably twigs, with multicolored feathers giving them a 3-D appearance. Part of the blue barn in the upper right is made of either thick paper or thinly shaved wood. The background is textured, possibly fabric,  with additional landscape elements painted.

The frame is in excellent vintage condition. Shiny glass is intact. (I will be adding tape to the back to cover the nails securing the backing board.)
