Rare Early edition of Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" from 1943
Original Sears "Readers Club" issue w/ dust jacket and Hardbound cover

This special edition of the book was made available for the Sears Company to sell. Original issues of the book have a similar dust jacket and overall layout but lack the "Book Club" typing and have a different rear design. This could be considered a "first edition" of the book as I believe the original issue and the Sears Book Club version were printed and released at the same time.

Dust jacket is in fair-ish shape lots of tears and some old masking tape holding it together. Not bad considering most early editions of books this old altogether lack the dust jacket. See pictures for specifics on wear. $10 price tag on inner front fold

Actual book is in amazing shape for being 80 years old. Binding seems to be holding up fine, small gap on the top. None of the pages stick, fall out, or appear to be loose. No pages are ripped and the only wear to the paper is normal/ appropriate to the books age.
No inner writing as well, small (10-) price notation on front cover page in red pen.
