This is for a 200 gram lot of Blue Chalcedony. The material was found by us at an un touched honey hole nearby here in Western oregon.  At this site are blues, carnelian, jasper, agate, opal. The blues vary in material. Most will pop quick when hit with a torch indicating opal .Some of the blue has more jasp/agate, chert features depending on who is analyzing it.  I call it blue hybrid opal due to some of the overlapping characteristics.

The first few pictures are sample 200 gram lots that depict what's for sale. The cut stones in later pictures are a couple of examples of how they cut.

As rough stones, they have a lot of beauty. Some even have a gold sheen. Instantly hitting multiple shakras with a calm yet gemmy appearance

     For fellow lapidary artists

The material has proven to be very stable. This is very unique stuff that can resemble many gems from opal, jasper, agate, chert, flint,"oregon turquoise " possibly other names. However Blue hybrid opal is most accurate with myself and other local old timers. For the sake of naming it we will call it

Nu Blue Chalcedony.

Nu , a hybrid/alternative to the word new.

Blue,  (color)

Chalcedony (family of the various quartz minerals this belongs to).
