Vintage art glass object

To me it looks like two waves meeting 

Puprle and clear 

Weighs approx 1.5kgs 

I havent been able to find the maker 

Unfortunately there is a chip to one corner of the base edge.  There is another smaller chip just about 1cms along from the corner chip.  There are some surface scratches to the base also - please see the photos.

Stands approx 19.5cms high
