The Ernst-Perry Estate is an accumulated Multi-Generational Estate that was recently inherited in December of 2021. My husband and I spent over 4 1/2 months clearing out his childhood home with the vast majority of personal and household items being donated.

However, we did keep for sale a unique selection of items including Color Slides from the 1930s-1970’s, Coins, Ephemera, Clothing, Porcelain, Modern & Sports Collectibles and more! My husband’s mom was a stylish and elegant woman with an extensive Costume Jewelry collection encompassing over a thousand pieces, which date from the late 1800’s into the 1980’s.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1960s 1970s Hand-Knotted Chinese Cloisonne Beaded Necklace in Shades of Deep Sapphire Blue, Robin’s egg Blue, Emerald & Chartreuse Green and White with Gold-tone metal and strung a on Golden-yellow Cord. The 31” Single Strand necklace features Beads ranging from 9.25mm to almost 10mm in size. It is a nice solid necklace weighing 100 grams.

There are no hallmarks on the clasp. Based on other eBay listings with similar style necklaces, this necklace has been a popular Chinese Import for decades. I am not a jewelry expert so please make your own determination from the photos.  

COLORNOTE: The Color was a bit tricky to photograph the Color looks Lighter in the Photos than in person. The Beads look almost Black in Natural Light. But under a Brighter Light the Color is a beautiful Deep Blue. Computer and Phone screens can vary and the Color maybe slightly Lighter or Darker in person.

Necklace is in Good to Very Good Preowned, Vintage Condition. All beads are present and look to be in Nice Condition. I did notice some dirt on some beads but was unsure how to clean them. There is Noticeable Wear, such as dirt, fraying and stretching on some the cord/string, see Photo #12 for an example; but please note I did not take photos of every stray string on the necklace. The string and knotting are secure, and the necklace is in wearable condition.

The Clasp looks to have had a Gold Wash on it as the top filagree has some gold-tone to it, but most is worn off and looks silver-tone. The Clasp is a bit sticky and may benefit from adjusting the tongue insert, but I did not try that for fear of breaking the clasp. Fortunately, the necklace is long enough to go over the head without fiddling with the clasp at all. The necklace may benefit from a cleaning.
