Antique round jewelry trinket box in thick green transparent crystal glass. Emerald green high quality thick glass is shiny and eye catchy. Glass is very thick and measures 0.9 cm. 

Beautiful decorated bronze ormolu frame with delicate leaves ornament in the bottom and medium parts of the box. The glass quality and color as well as leaves ornament on the ormolu parts allow to attribute this piece to Baccarat of the end of XIX century. 

Dome shaped lid is featuring a bronze squirrel figurine. Squirrels were often added to the pieces used to store precious items as have been a symbol of prosperity. 

The opening and closing mechanism is super strongly created to balance and hold the heavy parts of the box, it is in perfect condition. The inner fixing of the squirrel figurine is also tight and intact. 

A stunning, high quality piece in great condition.

The box is 13.2 cm (5") high and measures 10 cm (3.9") in diameter.

The weight is 869 gr (30 oz).

Very good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. A few tiny scratches on the cover lid - hard to capture due to lights. Can be seen on the last photo.
