Up for sale is an HO Scale Athearn Union Pacific GP38-2 Diesel Locomotive. The train car number is #625 and the part number is #79981. The engine has been tested using a Rail Power 1200 DC System and standard brass track. The engine powers up easily and runs smoothly both forwards and backwards. The engine in my opinion is in Excellent condition. The railings need some work to get them in place. The original box is missing and it will be shipped bubble wrapped in a sturdy box. The engine in the photos is the actual engine that is for sale. Please examine the photos to determine if there are any missing pieces before making a purchase. I do my best to list any defects in the item description.      

          The locomotive is from my father’s personal collection. As a lifetime model railroader, he has acquired an incredible collection of engines, cars, buildings, figurines and supplies. He has very meticulously built cars and kits paying specific attention to details. He is in the process of thinning out his massive collection. Any flaws to the item will be listed above.
