Hand carved from one solid piece of jade. 

An exquisite Olmec Aztec culture pre Columbian Mexico Jade hard stone mask. Measuring approx. 5" x 4.5" x 2". A beautifully carved image with bold facial features. 

The stone and the mask is very well made, wonderfully carved. The color of the jade is a mix of bright KELLY green to olive green flecks when looked at in person. Depending on the light, the color looks different.

Two holes into its top back so the owner can attach string or wire for wall hanging display .  

Very good condition! Some roughness on the nose (could be original to the stone?) , a natural short fissure line in the stone on the chin on the back (not a crack), Some other natural rock lines are present. The size is actually an infant, child size face.
