FINE JEWELS
Lapponia: Brooch "Bow of Argo" with Akoya pearls in 585 yellow gold ...
... Gold brooch in a sculptural design: freely designed, dynamically expanding shape, the surfaces enlivened by changing textures in polished and relief and three-dimensional design. Three Japanese Akoya cultured pearls of approx. 4.0 to 6.2 mm diameter, white with beautiful iridescent overtones of rose and green, fine luster. Needle with large secure cylinder clasp. Heavy production in 585 yellow gold (= 14 carat yellow gold). Manufacturer Lapponia, as good as new.
A small work of art in heavy gold, a brooch designed like a small abstract sculpture. Thanks to the alloy, the gold tone is particularly warm and rich.
The name Argo alludes to the mythological ship of the Argonauts, with which the Greek heroes undertook a journey to the land of gold on the Caspian Sea. The stylized shape of a ship can be seen in the shape. The three pearls can represent the men at the helm, but also three stars, because the hero ship the Argo was later placed in the sky by the gods as a constellation.
