A vintage Japanese political boundaries map showing the countries bordering the north Atlantic with an emphasis on Europe and North Africa.
It was printed January 1, 1936 by "King", a Japanese company that printed many of Japan's maps in he early 1900's. (close up of the date in photo # 3)
It seems the original map was printed in 1914, updated in 1935 with this version being the lates updated map. (These dates are shown in the closeup 3rd photo.)
This would be the political boundaries just before World War Two.
It seems the map makers were aware of the world situation at the time and show various countries military armaments (Includes the U.S., Russia, Finland, France, Britain and Italy) These figures show their armies, navies, and planes. Interesting that Germany's military capabilities are not shown. Italy's military is shown in North Africa (Libya)
